What is Audiost@t ?
Audiost@t is an online tool specifically made for FSL teachers to facilitate the marking process of students’ oral assignments/productions. Audiost@t has advanced functionalities that enable to pre-identify possible mistakes according to several criteria (e.g. phonetics, articulation, intonation, prosody, rhythm, etc.). After students record their reading of a text, teachers will only have to click where actual mistakes were made to identify them. After the marking process, Audiost@t automatically displays to the students the list of mistakes they made and their percentage of success. It helps them improve at their own pace. Once they are ready, they can submit a new recording (on the same text) and, after the marking process, Audiost@t will compare both versions. The teacher goes through the same marking process but he can also check if the suggestions made to the students on the first recording were taken into account in the second recording.
